当展览走出展厅，面孔遇见街道
正在上海多伦现代美术馆展出的“面具之下——中意当代影像艺术交流展”以“人脸”为核心意象，汇聚中意两国10位/组艺术家的100余件作品，探讨肖像、身份、记忆与观看的深层关系。展览中的“面具”既指向外在形象，也回应个体在不同文化和社会关系中的多重身份。
作为展览同期的重要驻留项目，受意大利驻沪总领事馆文化处邀请，意大利艺术家朱塞佩·安东尼·迪·马蒂诺（Giuseppe Anthony Di Martino）来到上海多伦现代美术馆，开展一场关于“摄影作为故事讲述方法”的艺术驻留与公众共创活动。他将延续“面具之下”对“面孔”与“身份”的探讨——从观看展厅中的肖像，到成为镜头前的被摄者，再到亲手按下快门，你将完成一次从“观众”到”创作者”的身份转换。
When the exhibition steps out of the museum, faces meet the streets
Currently on view at Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art, the exhibition （Un）masked.Sino-Italian Contemporary Photography Exhibition takes the "human face" as its central motif, bringing together over 100 works by 10 Chinese and Italian artists/artist groups to explore the deeper relationships between portraiture, identity, memory, and ways of seeing. The "mask" in the exhibition points not only to external appearance but also responds to the multiple identities individuals assume across different cultural and social contexts.
As a key residency project accompanying the exhibition, invited by the Italian Cultural Institute in Shanghai, Italian artist Giuseppe Anthony Di Martino comes to Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art to lead an art residency and public co-creation event centered on "photography as a method of storytelling". Continuing the exhibition's exploration of "faces" and "identity," you will move from viewing portraits in the museum to becoming the subject in front of the lens, and finally to pressing the shutter yourself—completing a transformation from "audience" to "creator."

本次活动特别邀请跨文化传播者刘小菡（Betty Liu）担任嘉宾主持，与艺术家展开深度对谈。
艺术家将从他在上海的驻地经历出发，分享其个人创作历程，并围绕以下话题展开对话：
• 他在上海与莫兰迪相关的摄影项目是如何规划与执行的？
• 作为独立摄影项目，从0到1的实战经验
• “技术导向”与“故事导向”两种摄影观的差异
• 他眼中的摄影大师与灵感来源（讲座配备中文翻译）
What Will You Experience?
Creative Sharing and Dialogue (30–40 minutes)
Theme: "Photography" as a Method of Storytelling
The event specially invites intercultural communicator Betty Liu (Liu Xiaohan) as the guest moderator to engage in an in-depth conversation with the artist.
Drawing from his residency experience in Shanghai, the artist will share his creative journey and engage in dialogue around the following topics:
- How was his Shanghai-based photography project related to Morandi planned and executed?
- Practical experience of developing an independent photography project from scratch
- The difference between "technique-oriented" and "story-oriented" approaches to photography
- The masters and sources of inspiration that have shaped his vision
(The talk will be accompanied by Chinese interpretation.)
肖像拍摄环节（60分钟）
艺术家将以多伦路街道、历史建筑为背景，为参与者拍摄专属肖像。这些作品后续将在意大利博洛尼亚的展览中展出——你的面孔，将成为跨文化交流的一部分。（参与拍摄需现场签署肖像使用授权书）
Portrait Shooting Session (60 minutes)
Using the streets of Duolun Road and its historic architecture as backdrops, the artist will shoot exclusive portraits for each participant. These works will later be exhibited in Bologna, Italy—your face will become part of an intercultural dialogue.
(Participants are required to sign a portrait use authorization form on site.)
共创环节（20分钟）
建议你自带拍摄设备，在艺术家指导下进行拍摄创作，从“被观看者”转变为“观看者”与“讲述者”。
Co-Creation Session (20 minutes)
Participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras or phones and, under the artist's guidance, shoot their own images—shifting from "being watched" to "watching" and "telling."

About the Artist
朱塞佩·安东尼·迪·马蒂诺
Giuseppe Anthony Di Martino
自2014年起在博洛尼亚工作与生活，并在博洛尼亚美术学院接受艺术训练。他的艺术研究以摄影、影像艺术与装置为主要媒介，并与行为艺术及戏剧语言展开对话。2021年，他在米兰天蓝工作室开启了一项研究项目。2023年至2024年间，其艺术电影《我是格拉齐拉》在意大利、法国、美国、埃及和印度等地的国际电影节上展映。2026年，他将参加由上海多伦现代美术馆主办的艺术驻留项目，致力于创作一项关于乔治·莫兰迪作品国际影响力的摄影专题。在诸多艺术合作中，迪·马蒂诺曾与国际知名艺术家合作，包括尼诺·米格利奥里、西茜、露西＋豪尔赫·奥尔塔以及克里斯蒂安·波尔坦斯基。在艺术研究之余，他还从事文化传播与文化项目开发，致力于提升公共与私人机构的文化价值。
Giuseppe Anthony Di Martino has lived and worked in Bologna since 2014, where he received his artistic training at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna. His artistic research employs photography, video art, and installation as primary media, in dialogue with performance art and theatrical language. In 2021, he began a research project at Studio Azzurro in Milan. Between 2023 and 2024, his art film I Am Graziella was screened at international film festivals in Italy, France, the United States, Egypt, and India. In 2026, he will participate in an artist residency hosted by Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art, dedicated to creating a photographic series on the international influence of Giorgio Morandi's work. Among his many artistic collaborations, Di Martino has worked with internationally renowned artists including Nino Migliori, Sissi, Lucy + Jorge Orta, and Christian Boltanski. Alongside his artistic research, he is engaged in cultural communication and cultural project development, dedicated to enhancing the cultural value of public and private institutions.
